Peer-Review Process
Peer Review Process
Acta Chimica Asiana will publish the only paper strictly following Acta Chimica Asiana guidelines and manuscript preparation. Those papers are read by editorial members (upon a field of specialization) and will be screened by Managing Editor to meet the necessary criteria of Acta Chimica Asiana publication. Manuscripts will be sent to two peer-reviewers (double-blind peer-review) based on their historical experience in reviewing manuscripts or based on their field of specialization. Acta Chimica Asiana has reviewing forms in order to keep the same items reviewed by two reviewers. Then the editorial board will make a decision upon the reviewer's comments or advice. Reviewers will give their assessment on originality, clarity of presentation, contribution to the field/science. If one of the reviewers disagrees on the quality of the research article for publication, a third reviewer will be appointed. The research articles are evaluated by the assigned reviewers using a standard manuscript evaluation form. They are required to keep all information contained in the research articles confidential. The assigned reviewers' opinions serve as a guide for Acta Chimica Asiana editors when making a final decision on the research articles. The editors of Acta Chimica Asiana always have the final say. Manuscripts that are deemed inappropriate by the editors and assigned editors are rejected without further review. Acta Chimica Asiana has six kinds of decisions:
Accept Submission, as it is
Accepted by Minor Revisions (let authors revised with stipulated time)
Accepted by Major Revisions (let authors revised with stipulated time)
Resubmit for review (The submission needs to be re-worked, but with significant changes, may be accepted)
Resubmit Elsewhere (The author is required to submit to another journal)
Rejected (generally, on grounds of outside of scope and aim, major technical description problems, lack of clarity of presentation)
For checking similarity or plagiarism, Acta Chimica Asiana Editorial Board will screen plagiarism with using Turnitin Program. For Acta Chimica Asiana similarity or plagiarism policy information please click here, the editorial board will reject the manuscript immediately.
